Current Price column is incorrect
So far I haven't seen the Current Price column correct - it takes the price of the item when first added, but I'm not seeing it track the actual current price. They all match the Original Price. The graphs match, when I hover over the icon (although most are out of date), they are tracking the price, but the Current Price column is not.

After spending most of the day looking, I think I've found the problem.
We update products in two groups: those people are tracking, and those people are not; the former updates 3-4 times per day and the latter about once a week. When someone tracks a product that was formerly not tracked, it currently takes one full processing session of the "not tracked" products to get this product moved over to the "tracked" group of products.
I believe this explains why your products, although tracked, haven't gotten updated since you tracked them. The fix is to make sure products get moved to the appropriate group right when you create price watches for them, which ensures said products will get updated every day rather than every week.
We're still confirming that this is indeed the cause of the problem, but, since this is a good change to make anyway, I have implemented a fix already and we will launch it once it is fully tested.
Hopefully this will keep tracked products much more fresh in the future! Does the explanation make sense? The gist is that your products should be updated within a few hours and will be updated 3-4 times per day thereafter. And after testing, we'll launch a change to help us avoid this situation in the future.

Are you referring to the tracked products page? What is your username? That will help me look into the issue directly.

I’m
dumb
This is a bug with the tracked products page. The Current Price and Desired Price columns are reversed and that is why none of them look right!
I will launch the fix for this today. Sorry about the confusion =/ -
-
Cool thanks. Those two prices are not reversed, at least for me. The Desired Price is showing exactly what I set it to. It's just the Current Price is not up to date.
Incidentally, how often do the prices get updated? -
-
My mistake. Perhaps you are going to the Amazon product page, seeing a different price type's price -- rather than that of the price type you're tracking -- and thinking that is incorrect? For example: if you're tracking the "3rd party used" price of a book and go to the book's page on Amazon, you may see the "Amazon" price on that page and think it's wrong; you have to click the link in the "more buying choices" box. Is that the source of this confusion?
Tracked products are updated about 3 times per day. -

Nope, I'm afraid that's not the case. As I said, the problem is the "Current Price" column. I sense there is a difficulty in believing there is an issue; maybe if I show you the error we will make more progress.
These are the first two items on my list of all products:
This is the graph of the second item:
Please note that the price of the second item is £3.63.
Please note that the graph shows the item's price as £3.14.
The graph therefore appears to be correct, because I know via my manual checking that the item's 3rd party used price did actually change from £3.63 to £3.14.
Below is a snippet from the Amazon page:
Please note that it now says £12.55 as the used price. This item has said this price for at least the whole of today. (So although the graph seems to be working, it seems to be out of date (more than 8 hours).
So in summary:
The Current Price on your site is wrong because it is out of date with your own data, which can be observed by seeing that it is not matching what your own graphs read.
I hope that is more helpful. -

Please understand that it is not that I don't believe you; rather, I thought I had found the problem and was incorrect, so I was trying to guess other possible causes of the issue.
It looks like you have found a bug in our system. I will look into it and come up with a fix. Thanks for providing those extra details, they will really help me track down the problem. -
-
Brilliant, thanks :) If it helps, I'm seeing this on the All page (http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/tracker..., the Unchanged page (http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/tracker..., but not the Updated page (so some products which have updated are not being detected correctly as Updated).
Thanks. -

This should be fixed now. Can you confirm if that's the case, si?
-
-
Ummm, it's not fixed for me but I didn't know whether that was because of the products still being in the wrong group or something? Like maybe if they weren't shifted to the "tracked" groupd that Dan was talking about properly when I initially added them, maybe they just won't be switched.
The Agents, Causes and Events book in the above screenshot for example, still says £3.63 for me, even though the price changed to £3.14 (as shown in the graph above) and now stands at £12.55.
Would I need to re-add all my products to make this effective? -
-
Your products should be in sync now. It just took a little while for the system to catch up (a problem I should have avoided by manually updating your products.)
Hopefully we will avoid this situation in the future for newly-tracked products. And those that fall prey to this issue will eventually be fixed as our system updates all the products therein.
Sorry about the confusion, I should have said something earlier! -
