Notifications for new products/ saved searches

I suggested on eggxpert.com that newegg offer a way to be notified when a product first gets added to their inventory. One of the ways they could have done this would have been to allow people to save searches and get notified when there are new results for their search. (Checking for new results 1x/day would be quite sufficient.) Newegg reacted to my suggestion with outright hostility, which was surprising. If camelegg were to offer such a feature it'd be a real boon to Newegg shoppers and something to draw people to use the service.

As an illustration of what I mean, AMD's A8-3800 processor was announced months ago but has yet to hit the market. Newegg will undoubtedly be one of the first retailers to have it in stock, but there's currently no way to be sure to find out when it arrives short of constantly reloading the relevant searches or product category pages on newegg. If camelegg offered notification on new results to saved searches, I could simply save a search for "A8-3800" and be notified the day it came in stock.
