I received an alert via email at 9:46 PM for a low price on a Wii, that according to the camelcamelcamel page, was seen at 4:45 PM. Even if that's offset by 3 hours for a west coast time zone, that's still a few hours delay.
Perhaps email is the wrong vehicle for time sensitive alerts, but it seems the turn around should be a bit faster than that.

Tom, alerts are now going out as price changes are detected. Please let me know if you notice any alerts that are delayed by more than 10 minutes or so.

Right now our system updates all of the products and then shoots off all the alerts at the end; this is a vestige of our old system (which benefited from the postponed processing) and will be changed to reflect our more recent code.
Please be patient and I will try to get this figured out asap. -

Sure, no problem. I'm not relying on Camel for timely price alerts. Rarely does the situation require anything faster than days. -

I'd LIKE people to be able to rely on Camel for timely price alerts though! One day, Tom, one day.

Seems to be working well. Received another alert for a Wii today, and it looks like I received the alert about 3 minutes after it was discovered by Camel.-
That's what I like to hear!
